This October, AddressFinder’s crew will open their doors and will talk us through their engineering stack and how they solved some engineering challenges specific to the niche industry of addresses.

AddressFinder provides tools to help you find, verify, cleanse and format accurate NZ & AU addresses via one simple and easy API. If an online shop or service in NZ provides address completion it’s probably using AddressFinder under the hood.

Talks

“Why I moved on from Rails”, Nahum, former CTO of beloved Wellington companies and mentor of many Summer of Tech students, will be talking about his journey from Ruby to Elixir. He’ll talk about his reasons for this and the bumps in the road along the way.

“How-To: Security Audits”, Erik Fercak, AddressFinder CTO, will be talking about the recent security audits AddressFinder has been through and the takeaways from this exercise to help you plan one in the future.

Q&A

A Q&A will be organised during the event to learn more about the company, feel free to ask some questions before the event.

Streaming and recording

We have limited numbers in person to the size of the venue but like previous meetups we’ll be streaming on Google Meet and the recording will be available a few days after the event.
